Showcase. Connect. Discover.
There is a wealth of groundbreaking research being conducted at our university. Are you familiar with all the exciting areas we are exploring?
The third-ever interdisciplinary LUT Doctoral School (DS) Science Conference will take place on May 20, 2025.
To boost internal awareness of what is done at LUT, we invite all LUT’s doctoral researchers to present their research topics and engage with their peers. Doctoral supervisors’ presence at LUT DS Science Conference is critical not only for staying updated on the latest advancements in their field but also as a form of guidance and mentorship for their students. By attending alongside their students, supervisors validate and elevate the importance of their students’ work, boost their confidence, and encourage them to engage more actively in academic discussions and networking.
Fostering a collaborative research culture to extend scientific expertise
LUT DS Science Conference encourages a culture of collaboration by offering a chance to discover the innovative work happening within our community and to expand and deepen professional networks. By connecting research across fields, we can discover surprising new solutions and practical ways to solve today’s and tomorrow’s challenges.
Join the conversation
The event offers doctoral researchers valuable opportunities to practice presenting their research topics in a general, concise, and flexible format and communicate the broader impact of their work.
Presentations can be given alone or with a research team. In addition to traditional oral or poster presentations, one option is a creative presentation - you can choose any way to be understood and remembered by a multidisciplinary audience.
Before the conference, there will be pre-conference coaching sessions which offer tips and support for different presentation forms.
Conference day includes evening program with dinner and networking.
