Meet our P2X Team: Professor Tuomas Koiranen, Docent Arto Laari, Docent Arto Pihlajamäki, and Professor Nima Rezeai.
We focus in chemical engineering, process design, membrane technology, and gas separation, which are related to production processes from carbon sources and carbon dioxide, reactor technologies, carbon capture, and gas purification processes in power-to-x technologies. We will present current research topics and education in this new context.

At the campfire session, our professors and other experts are presenting both electrical engineering research and education.
We offer an excellent opportunity to familiarize oneself with the current state of electrical engineering at LUT and the entire field, as well as future prospects. There will be demos, presentations, lively discussions, and the possibility for playful experimental activities.

Software Engineering |
Software development now and in the future: challenges and opportunities of our time
Location: auditorium 1314, 3rd floor
At our campfire, we will briefly discuss the current state and near future of education, research, and software production innovations. You will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the technology presented by our researchers and teaching staff.
After the opening of the campfire, there will be discussions on the possibilities of corporate collaboration, networking, and interaction with students. We will also provide guidance on the locations and contents of other campfire spots.
Classroom 6218 (Linux lab) is reserved for our guild representatives who will showcase the project work of our current students. So, if you wish, you can network for a while with the Cluster members in a quieter environment.
Schedule:
Start at 1:00 pm in auditorium 1314 (1382 back in the day). Please note that the opening for all our alumni will be held only once.
- 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Bomb Shelter: Createch & Esports cave (at the bomb shelter next to the gym/exam hall, room 3244)
- 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm the Cober lab (Room 2310, up the stairs from the coffee point to Room 2527)

In the environmental technology campfire session, you get to walk down memory lane and immerse yourself in 20 years of history: how the environmental technology degree programme was launched and who have been the heroes behind creating and expanding the programme.
You also get to see what we are teaching now to future environmental heroes and what research we have done for the good of the environment on our Lappeenranta and Lahti campuses:
