About the conference
The Inverse Days conference is the annual scientific meeting of the Finnish Inverse Problems Society as well as a part of the activities of the Finnish Centre of Excellence in Inverse Modelling and Imaging. The first Inverse Days trace back to 1995, which happened at the University of Oulu. The 2023 edition, the 29th Inverse Days, will be organised by LUT University and the event will be set in the beautiful city of Lahti.
This year, the Inverse Days will be accompanied by a satellite event Statistics meets Inverse Problems (Heikki Haario 70) (from Monday afternoon to Tuesday) to celebrate the 70th birthday of Professor Heikki Haario. Professor Haario is one of the founders of the Finnish Inverse Problems Society. All speakers are encouraged to share stories and pictures of Heikki in their talks. On Tuesday, Professor Samuli Siltanen will give a popular lecture at 5 pm, which is open to the public.
The scientific program for the traditional Inverse Days will start on Wednesday morning and end on Friday at noon. More information can be found on the Program page, which will be updated closer to the conference dates.
