Mari Kallioinen-Mänttäri

Mari Kallioinen-Mänttäri is a Doctor of Chemical Technology. She works at LUT as a Professor of Separation Technology and Dean of School of Engineering Sciences.

Resource-efficient use of forest biomass is important to Mari. According to her, the development of new, advanced separation methods is inspiring and meaningful work that can, at best, lead to the creation of new forest industry companies.

The forest was an important part of Mari's life as a young Scout. Today, her home is located in the middle of a forest, which makes it possible to quickly get away from the hassle of everyday life and head to the edge of the mire or the nearby rocks.
