Welcome to EUROGEN 2025 -

16th Conference on Evolutionary and Deterministic Methods for Design, Optimization, and Control

We are delighted to invite you to the 16th EUROGEN Conference, an esteemed international event dedicated to evolutionary and deterministic computing for industrial applications. EUROGEN 2025 will be held from 16–18 September 2025 at the LUT University campus in Lahti, Finland.

EUROGEN is a distinguished series of conferences that began in 1995 and has been hosted in various locations across Europe, most recently in Chania.

The conference has its origins in the INGENET European Thematic Network (1998-2000) on genetic algorithms, a network that I personally had the privilege of being a part of during my time in industry. Also, I have attended several of the past Eurogen conferences since 1999. My own research has been devoted to Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and integrating CFD with evolutionary methods for industrial applications. Most recently, I supervised a doctoral thesis on CFD-based optimization of wind turbine placements at LUT University´s wind park, a topic highly relevant to EUROGEN 2025.

This year, LUT University is proud to host EUROGEN, and we warmly invite you to our Lahti campus to share your latest research in optimization techniques, including evolutionary algorithms, multi-objective optimization, and other advanced methods.
We look forward to welcoming you to Lahti and to an inspiring exchange of ideas at EUROGEN 2025.

Best regards,

Prof. Jari Hämäläinen
Chairperson, EUROGEN 2025
