The pieces all fall into place for students from the start. LUT’s campuses are compact and offer an excellent range of services, and the combination of high-quality education and a unique sense of togetherness are, for the majority of students, an unparalleled experience that they look back on fondly even decades later.
Our university campuses are located in Lappeenranta and Lahti. In both cities, the staff, partners in cooperation, student associations, campus clubs, student union and individual students work together to make students feel at home on campus and to make the world a better place.
Students have rated our university’s atmosphere as the best in Finland on many occasions. We have even coined a term for our strong community spirit: the Skinnarila spirit, originating from the Skinnarila district where the Lappeenranta campus is located. In all simplicity, it means that we are not rivals – we work together to solve problems. We help each other and abandon no one.
