LUT University Curious people alumnitapahtuma

The topic for Curious People Alumni Webinar in mid March is green hydrogen and biorefining: What products are worth producing in year 2035?

More biofuel for the same amount of wood? Hydrogen with completely new processes?
Solutions to the extremely topical challenges of the bioeconomy are being sought in the separation technology laboratory of LUT University in Lahti, lead by our webinar quest Associate Professor Kristian Melin.

Kristian will be joined in the discussion by recent PhD graduate Emma Laasonen.  Her PhD thesis 'Production of elemental carbon via molten carbonate electrolysis: prospects and challenges', in the field of chemical engineering, was examined on 25 October 2024.
The method under study can serve as a viable approach for the conversion of atmospheric carbon dioxide into various valuable end products, such as fuels, chemicals and building materials.

The webinar is in English. Sign up for the webinar here.
