Apartments

Summer school students can arrange their own accommodation or submit an application with the Student Housing Foundation for the Region of Lappeenranta (LOAS). The foundation will provide summer school students with a furnished single room in a shared apartment (2-3-bedroom apartment, shared bathroom/shower and kitchen). The residences are within easy walking distance of the university. Room is provided from Sunday to Saturday.

A furnished apartment includes:

  • a table, chairs, a refrigerator and an oven in the kitchen;
  • a bathroom;
  • a desk, office chair, bookcase, desk lamp, and bed with a mattress (80x200 cm) in the bedroom.

The university provides students with a mattress and curtains. Also basic necessities for short-term housing are provided, including blankets, pillows and basic kitchenware (pot, dishes and cutlery for one). (Finland's midnight sun is an amazing experience, but it might be difficult to fall asleep without curtains!)

Accommodation fee: 1 week EUR 340, 2 weeks EUR 460
