Biography

I currently work as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Social Sciences at LENS. In my research, I'm interested in historical organization studies and in strategic responses to crises and other types of changes that organizations and other types of actors may face in their technological and institutional environments. At present, my ongoing research projects focus on the ideological functions of propaganda in contemporary media environments, digital strategy in startup organizations, dynamics of societal crises, and strategic management of purpose-driven organizations. My research has been published in well-ranked academic journals such as Management and Organization Review and Eurasian Geography and Economics

I hold a PhD in Economic and Business History (University of Jyväskylä) and I have also worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Strategy and Venturing at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management in Aalto University between 2020-2023.

My current teaching in LUT covers courses on strategic communications and on the role of networks and influencing processes in media environments. I have also previously taught courses and modules on several strategy-related topics, such as platform strategy, generative AI, purpose-driven and hybrid organizations, and dynamic capabilities, at master- and doctoral levels in Aalto University.
