LUT welcomes applications to its Finnish-language bachelor's programmes from 11 to 25 March. The joint application round includes programmes in technology, business, and social and communication sciences, equipping students to address global sustainability challenges.

A total of 613 places are available in the programmes: 75 in social and communication sciences, 140 in business studies, and 398 in technology. All admitted students are automatically also entitled to complete master's studies in their chosen field.

Technology and business programmes

LUT offers altogether eight Finnish-language bachelor’s programmes in technology in the fields of energy technology, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, industrial engineering and management, environmental technology, and computational science and artificial intelligence.

In bachelor's studies in business, students choose their field of specialisation at the end of their first year, after core studies. The alternatives are supply management, accounting, business analytics, international marketing, and strategic finance. LUT Business School's education focuses on responsible and sustainable business.

LUT University's technology and business programmes have their own the joint admission systems, which are part of the national joint application procedure for universities. Technology programmes fill 80 per cent and business programmes 60 per cent of their available places through certificate-based admission or admission based on prior academic records.

Social and communication sciences programmes

The social sciences degree programme offers bachelor's programmes in two fields: social sciences and communication sciences. In both, students also learn about critical societal systems. As an outcome, students gain a multidisciplinary, comprehensive understanding of how a sustainable society operates.

LUT's social and communication sciences programmes fill 60 per cent of their student places through certificate-based admission. All admission requirements are available on LUT's website.

Entrance examinations for all fields in May–June

Entrance examinations are for applicants who were not admitted based on their certificates. Applicants who are admitted to a secondary programme option based on their academic records may still pursue a place in their preferred programme by taking an entrance examination.

Applications for LUT University's Finnish-language bachelor's programmes are submitted through the national joint application system at www.opintopolku.fi.
