The application period for LUT University’s master’s programmes is open from 16 December 2024 to 22 January 2025. Applicants who have completed a suitable bachelor’s degree in Finland or abroad are eligible for admission. The duration of LUT's master's degrees in technology, business, and social sciences is two years, and their scope is 120 ECTS credits.  

The total intake of the programmes that are now open for application is 1530 students: 1174 in technology, 296 in business, and 60 in social sciences. At total of 28 of the master’s programmes take place in Lappeenranta, 13 in Lahti, two in Kouvola, and one in Mikkeli. Some programmes can be completed alongside full-time work and partly remotely.  

Altogether 32 master's programmes are taught in English, and both Finnish and international applicants are eligible for them. Students coming from beyond the EU or EEA or Switzerland pay a tuition fee of 13,500 euros per academic year.  

LUT’s collaboration programmes (double and triple degrees) have their own specific application periods and tuition fees.  

New Finnish-language master’s programme in strategic sales in Lahti

LUT Business School's new master’s programme in strategic sales examines business-to-business sales from multiple perspectives, such as digitalisation, ethics, and international business.  

The master’s programme is part of the sales and marketing cluster established on the Lahti campus with a historic donation by Jalo and Anja Paananen. The programme is well-suited for applicants who are already working in sales or specialise in another field but want to develop their sales expertise. The master's programme can be completed alongside full-time work.

New English-language master’s programmes in technology in Lappeenranta and Lahti  

The electrical engineering department's new Master’s Programme in Renewable Power-to-X Economy offers a wide-ranging overview of renewable energy sources and related technologies, financial and sustainability questions, and impacts on society. The computational engineering department's Master’s Programme in Applied Physics focuses on applied, industrial, and experimental physics. Both programmes take place on campus in Lappeenranta.  

The Master’s Programme in Management of Organisational Development arranged in Lahti teaches students to manage organisational development in an innovative and multidisciplinary way. The programme takes place on campus.

  • The application period for Finnish- and English-language master's programmes starts on 16 December 2024 at 8:00 and ends on 22 January 2025 at 15:00.  
  • The application period for English-language bachelor's programmes starts on 8 January 2025 at 8:00 and ends on 22 January 2025 at 15:00.  
  • The application period for Finnish-language bachelor's programmes starts on 11 March 2025 at 8:00 and ends on 25 March 2025 at 15:00.  
  • Applications to all programmes are submitted at opintopolku.fi.
