The LUT School of Business and Management is among the world's top 175 business schools in the Times Higher Education (THE) 2022 business school ranking. LUT is in the top 151–175 of the 795 business schools listed.
"We have been climbing the ranking ladder for years. It's a result of our high-quality research and education and the long-term work behind them," says Dean Sami Saarenketo of the LUT School of Business and Management.
According to Saarenketo, LUT is aiming for the international top especially in responsible business and the digital economy. Rankings strengthen the university's brand and the school's position among European business schools.
"As we become increasingly visible, we will be able to communicate more effectively in the international education market. In research, it will be even easier for us to network with elite partner universities."
The special strength of the LUT School of Business and Management is citations to its scientific articles. In terms of citations, it is the best business school in Finland and one of the top 50 business schools globally.
LUT placed second out of the nine Finnish business schools in the ranking. There are roughly 16 500 academic business schools in the world overall.
THE is one of the world's most prestigious university rankings. The areas it assesses are research, citations, teaching, international outlook, and industry income. The rankings are based on 13 indicators measuring the universities' performance.
