Times Higher Education’s (THE) new university ranking presents the world's top universities for interdisciplinary research. In the inaugural ranking, LUT placed 154th out of 749 universities.
Times Higher Education defines interdisciplinary science as the integration of knowledge, traditions and processes from multiple scientific disciplines. Interdisciplinary research may involve either collaboration among multiple academics from different disciplines or a single academic drawing on multiple disciplines to approach a scientific question.
