Biography

I'm a university teacher with a pragmatic mindset. The common interests regarding my own mechanical engineering field are laying in different types of sustainable innovations such as energy-efficient & high-performance machines (e.g., various high-speed applications).

At our LUT University, I'm heavily involved in teaching at multiple engineering mechanics and design related courses and also responsible of inspecting/guiding our department's (LES Mechanical Engineering) master’s theses to follow the set general guidelines.

Currently, I'm very keen on mentoring and supporting new talents in the field of product design & development to promote our society’s general and sustainable economic growth.

I have also been awarded as best teacher of 2020 with my fellow colleagues regarding mechanics related bachelor level course.

During spring semester 2022, I also worked as a math substitute teacher at Itä-Suomen koulu where I taught school grades 6-9 (Finnish school system).

I have also acted as a course manager in TEMEKO-project which was implemented by the research group of machine dynamics and machine design at Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology. The main objective of the project was to provide participants additional training that would support their working life skills as well as their knowledge about technical mechanics, without aiming for a full degree. The objective was achieved by designing and implementing four different online course packages which provided and enabled equal participation regardless of the social status, previous education, or gender of the trainee.
