Biography

Humberto is a Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Composite Materials and Solid Mechanics in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at LUT University, Finland. He is also a Visiting Researcher at the University of Manchester, UK. His primary research focus lies in the mechanics of high-performance fibre-reinforced polymer composites. He combines advanced computational modelling with experimental mechanics to generate impactful and meaningful findings.

His main research interests are:
