Biography

Humberto is an Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) of Composite Materials and Solid Mechanics at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of LUT University, Finland. He holds positions as a Visiting Researcher at both the University of Manchester, UK, and Aalto University, Finland. His primary research focus is on the mechanics of high-performance fibre-reinforced polymer composites. Usually, he develops advanced computational models assisted by experimental mechanics to generate meaningful and impactful reserch outputs.

His main research interests are:
