I am mainly working in the field of rotating machinery. The main application field is rotating electric machines. My background is in mechanical engineering, particularly rotordynamics. Rotordynamics studies the performance and characteristics of rotating structures such as motors, generators, rolls, and gearboxes. The main core of my expertise is in mechanical vibrations that has been the main focus of my research work starting from my Bachelor's Thesis in 2010. Vibrations of a rotating system can be evaluated by means of simulation or measurement. My Bachelor's and Master's Theses were directly related to vibration measurement whereas my Doctoral Dissertation was more on the simulation methodology of rotating machines. Recently, I have focused in high-speed machinery that is a special branch of electric machines. High-speed machinery is technically very challenging field of application where the engineering knowledge and experience can be challenged daily basis while reaching the boundaries of physics laws.
