Biography

Pertti Silventoinen (Member, IEEE) was born in Simpele, Finland, in 1965. He received the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering (1993), the Licentiate of Technology degree in applied electronics and control systems (1997) and the Ph.D. degree in science, focusing on EMC in electronics (2001) from the Lappeenranta University of Technology Finland (LUT University). Since 2010 he has been a full professor in applied electronics at LUT University. His research history includes analog signal processing and measurement systems, power line communication applications, EMC measurement technology and power electronic systems in various forms. His recent research work has been focused on the reliability of electronics.
