Biography

Rodrigo Santaella-Goncalves is a Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Social Sciences at LUT University, Finland. He has extensive teaching experience in Brazil, having taught at the State University of Ceará and the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Ceará. With a background in political science, Rodrigo has always been attentive to the challenges of social and political change within contemporary societies. His research has focused on the role of intellectuals in promoting social change in Latin America, particularly in Brazil and Bolivia. Building on this previous work, his current research interests revolve around intelligence and technology, specifically Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, and their impact on contemporary social, economic, and political changes within the context of digital capitalism.

He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil, and an MSc in Political Sciences from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil. Rodrigo has lectured and published extensively in the areas of Political Theory, History of Political Thought, Digitalization, and Political Economy.
