Biography

Satu Pekkarinen (PhD) is an Associate Professor at Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology LUT School of Engineering Science, Department of Industrial Engineering and Management. Her research focuses on health and care services digitalisation as a general topic, but also on implementation processes of certain technologies, such as care robots and other types of health and welfare technology. Her research interests are, e.g. implementation of health and welfare technology from users' and societal perspectives, human and social aspects of service digitalisation and sociotechnical transition in health and care services.
