Biography

Satu Pekkarinen (PhD) is an Associate Professor at Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology LUT School of Engineering Science, Department of Industrial Engineering and Management. Her research focuses on health care and elderly care digitalisation as a general topic, but also on implementation processes of certain technologies, such as care robots and other types of welfare technology. Her research interests are, e.g. implementation of welfare technology from users' and societal perspectives, human and social aspects of service digitalisation and sociotechnical transition in care services.
