Half of Finland’s bio-based carbon dioxide point sources are located in Southeast Finland. The utilization of bio-based carbon dioxide has significant regional economic potential, which requires comprehensive planning and coordination of the production and transfer of renewable electricity, hydrogen, and carbon dioxide for effective exploitation. The project participants are jointly promoting industrial transformation by enhancing the operational and investment conditions for the hydrogen economy and renewable energy in the Southeast Finland region.
Goals
The project explores the various approaches for implementing wind power construction and solar energy projects. The development project’s measures promote the realization of investments by preparing the necessary studies and initiating the zoning or further development of potential sites. Additionally, ways to streamline permit processes and improve resident cooperation to accelerate investments are being sought. The project will present the required infrastructure for carbon dioxide utilization and a roadmap for their implementation
