LUT the only university that had a Master's Programme in Supply Management
Applying to study at LUT was one of my best decisions. I completed my bachelor's degree in international business and after that continued to the Master's Programme in Supply Management. During this journey, I have met inspiring people, made life-long friendships, created unforgettable memories and, grew personally and professionally.
I chose the Master's Programme in Supply Management as my interest in global supply chains and purchasing had increased during my bachelor's studies. This is a unique program in Finland as LUT is the only university that offers a Master's Programme in Supply Management. This program included wide-ranging studies that provided a great understanding of supply management. I think the best thing was the case works that reflected the real-life business cases and provided an in-depth understanding of supply management. Also, the professors are extremely inspiring and dedicated.
LUT offered academic flexibilty
One of the best things about studying at LUT was the academic flexibility that LUT offers. The students can choose the minor studies, including the technology courses, and language studies freely among LUT's offering and also studying remotely is possible. In addition, LUT encourages and supports students to attend exchange studies. I completed my exchange studies in Russia which offered me a great international experience. There are a lot of other interesting exchange destinations in LUT's offerings.
Supply Management program was a great launching pad
After my first year of master's studies I started to work as a supply and inventory management trainee at ABB. After the trainee period, I continued to work in my current position - Project Buyer - at the same company. I recommend the Supply Management program for anyone interested in global supply chains and supply management. The knowledge and skills I have learned in this program have been very valuable and helped me to succeed in my career path.
