Mentoring, for me, is like a dance where both partners occasionally step on each other’s toes but eventually learn to waltz—collaborative, equal, and with lots of room for growth. It’s not just a "let me impart my wisdom upon you" thing; it's a two-way street where we both learn, gain new skills, and have some fun along the way. As a mentor, I'm excited about the chance to not only help you succeed but also to high-five our way through challenges and new projects.
I bring to the table an approach I learned at Michigan State University - no, not how to tailgate at football games, but a practical, goal-oriented method focused on developing real-world skills. At our first meeting, we'll strategize like secret agents, plotting out our master plan for world (or at least your professional) domination.
A little about me: I finished my master’s degree at Lappeenranta Technical University in 2022, where I majored in Global Management of Innovation and Technology and minored in Software Engineering and Digital Transformation. With over 20 years of experience in adult education and software projects across big-name companies like IKEA, Volkswagen, Bayer, John Deere, and a bunch more, I’ve learned a thing or two about navigating corporate mazes and digital jungles.
Here are a few things I can help you with:
- Developing professional training that actually works for trainers and end-users - no more snooze-fests.
- Corporate digital transformation and building knowledge bases; think of me as your digital opas.
- Creating educational and marketing videos that make people go, "Wow, I actually get this!"
- Explaining technical stuff to non-tech folks without making them cry.
- Crafting user guides and troubleshooting manuals that don’t read like ancient scrolls.
- Developing web-based and video instructional materials in collaboration with subject matter experts, aka smart people.
Currently I cooperate with Association for Talent Development (ATD) in educational ICT projects development. More information about my experience is possible to find in my LinkedIn profile.
