The Bachelor's Programme in Technology and Engineering Science enables you to become an expert in multidisciplinary fields of engineering. The programme addresses the rapidly growing need for sustainable hybrid technology solutions in modern industry. It covers interdisciplinary topics from essential fields of engineering, complemented by language studies, entrepreneurship training, and transferable skills. 

The programme gives you the competence to solve multidisciplinary engineering problems, manage projects, work in multicultural teams, or become an entrepreneur. It provides extensive hands-on experience and applies theories and techniques from a broad range of engineering fields to practice through interdisciplinary projects.

In this bachelor's programme, you will focus on essential and applicable engineering disciplines, integrating studies of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, energy technology, and environmental technology.

After completing the bachelor's degree, you will be entitled to continue your studies in LUT master's programmes in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, energy technology or environmental technology. To some of the master's programmes, however, you will need to apply separately.

In this bachelor's programme, you will gain a solid foundation in a range of techniques for solving complex engineering problems, taking into account the growing general awareness of environmental technologies.
You will graduate within three academic years with a unique and adaptable multidisciplinary skill set that will meet the current demands of industry, education, and technology. 

You will learn advanced mathematics skills, diverse engineering design skills, goal-oriented problem-solving, productive project work, transferable skills in entrepreneurship and engineering, and teamwork and language skills relevant to international industry.

The Bachelor's Programme in Technology and Engineering Science is a three-year programme leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Technology, B.Sc. (Tech.), which is 180 ECTS credits. The programme includes general studies, intermediate specialisation studies, and language and communication studies. Read more in this academic year’s curriculum

After completing the bachelor's programme, you will have a right to continue your studies in one of LUT’s English-language master's programmes in energy technology, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or environmental technology. You can also continue your master's studies in one of Finnish-language master's programmes in energy technology, electical engineering, or mechanical engineering. Some of the master's programmes require a separate application.
