Biography

Dick Carrillo is a senior wireless system engineer. He is participating in projects on planning and designing Internet of Things (IoT) solutions that best fit in niche markets, with particular emphasis on agribusiness and energy systems industry. In agribusiness market, these IoT solutions are deployed in rural areas focusing in intelligent irrigation systems for eucalyptus based on Accurate GPS positioning information, and cane tracking using RFID. In energy systems market, these IoT solutions are based on MTC (machine type communication) that includes URLLC (ultra reliable low latency communication) solutions to support applications with low latency requirements.

His research topics are focused in 5G beyond technologies as URLLC applied to MTC, and 5G Wireless architectures to support energy systems industry.
