Biography

I'm a social scientist working on various energy-related research, main focus being on sustainable energy transition. My research interests include the societal impact on renewable energy that takes into account planetary boundaries, challenges and support for emerging energy communities and women energy entrepreneurs in the Global South, socio-cultural framing of novel technology, modeling vulnerabilities of energy systems change, identifying and modeling system/sector interlinkages on energy, food and mobility, path dependency, and path break-out in the electricity sector in Europe and decarbonizing energy systems. I'm leading a multidisciplinary research group on Energy & Society. I'm co-teaching a Master's level course in Energy & Society that is open to all disciplines in LUT.
