Gustavo de Almeida

Gustavo de Almeida obtained his master's degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil, in 2003, and his doctorate from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, in 2006, both in Chemical Engineering. He worked as a professor for approximately fifteen years in Brazil. From 2022, he started working as a researcher in the Department of Energy Technology at LUT. His general research interest is in data analysis applications in the process industry. More specifically, it includes industrial AI, process efficiency in general, process monitoring, model interpretability of data-driven applications, and data-centric AI. He is currently working on a research project related to online course development. He is particularly interested in the use of AI in digital learning.
