Mirja Mikkilä
Biography
Mirja Mikkilä, adjunct professor (Docent) in Sustainability Science, LUT University, works currently as associate professor (tenure track II stage) in Business economics of forestry at University of Helsinki. Her expertise covers sustainable management and utilization of natural resources, sustainable systemic transition, environmental economics, natural resource economics, corporate responsibility and sustainability. She is specialice in multidiciplinary and -metholdological reseach applying both qualitative and quantitative research techniques of sustainability, sustainable system, sustainable transition of bioeconomy system. She has published over 70 peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters and conference proceedings. Her 15 years’ working experience within international natural resource consulting, and pulp and paper industry operations on four continents, Africa, Asia, Europe and South America.
