Biography

Prof. Pertti Kauranen is an electrochemist and material scientist with 30 years of experience in the development of materials, components and applications for electrochemical power sources inculding fuel cells, electrolyzers and different types of batteries (Li-ion, metal hydride, metal-air and redox flow). He got his Doctor of Technology degree at Helsinki University of Technology in 1996, and has worked in Finnish and German industries and as Team Leader and Deputy Technology manager at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland.
