The International Employer of the Year competition recognises organisations in Finland that have excelled in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) among their staff as well as in international recruitment. The competition is organised by Junior Chamber International Finland (JCI Finland) in collaboration with Business Finland's Work in Finland unit.
LUT University was named the best public sector organisation. The winners were announced at the Talent Boost Summit in Lappeenranta on 12 November 2024.
“It is truly uplifting to receive this award. It is significant to LUT and shows that we have taken the right steps to build a safe and welcoming community for our international employees. The impact of our growing internationalisation extends beyond our university, as our international talents also enrich the surrounding region and communities,” says Sanna Virtainlahti, HR Director at LUT University.
