Biography

Anssi Tarkiainen's research themes include digital marketing, sales management, consumer behaviour. His research has been published in Computers in Human Behavior, European Journal of Marketing, Psychology & Marketing, Journal of Marketing Theory & Practice, and Journal of Business Research, among others.

His professional activities include serving as a reviewer, on an ad hoc basis, for journals such as European Journal of Marketing, International Marketing Review, Journal of Personal Selling & Sales Management, and British Food Journal.

Currently Tarkiainen teaches marketing analytics, strategic issues in digital marketing, and digital marketing in action. During his career he has taught various courses, including sales management, international business strategies, statistical research methods, futures studies.

Tarkiainen serves also in different administrative duties. Currently he is working as a team leader for International Marketing -team in LUT School of Business and Management. He is a member of the board of directors of The Finland Futures Academy (FFA), a member of the steering group of LITO -project (national online study package for Basic business studies), and a deputy member of the board and executive committee in the Research Foundation of Lappeenranta University of Technology.
